Survey: Tell us what your local nature-based solution means to you

Nature-based solutions, like wetlands, green spaces, or nature reserves, do a lot of quiet work. They clean water, cool the air, support biodiversity and give people a place to relax. But like any well-used space, they are not always perfect. Noise, litter or paths that need improvement can all affect how people experience them.

As part of NBS4Drought, we want to understand both sides of that story, directly from the people who spend time in these places.

Why we are asking

Nature-based solutions are increasingly recognised for their role in building resilience to drought. To design and manage them well, we need more than technical data. We need to understand how they actually affect the people who visit them, day to day.

That is where our survey comes in. By collecting real visitor experiences we can build a clearer picture of how nature reserves influence wellbeing.

What happens with your answers

Every response contributes to a online dashboard, presented as a set of interactive charts. Over time, this will show patterns across different sites and different types of visitors, helping researchers, planners and local managers understand what makes these spaces work for everyone.

How to take part

While you are visiting one of our sites in Denmark, Spain or Poland, you can take our survey by clicking on the link below. The survey takes just a few minutes, is anonymous, and every response helps shape how these spaces are designed and managed in future.
